The Season 6 of Idea Star Singer has Started on September 26, 2011 on Asianet prime channel. It is telecasted Monday to Friday at 8.00 PM IST. There are Thirty Contestants between the ages of 16 and 25 selected from auditions for the final participation in the contest.

Renjini/Judges
I am really happy to note that you are now selecting contestants from the age group of 16/25 which I had also sent an e mail to that context. Now if you can restrict this to 30 contestants it will be good.
Please try to avoid taking SMS into consideration for the elimination process Which has no sense when the most eminent judges give their valuation on the merit of the singing. You may take SMS to find out the most popular contestants in each stage and give a prize to them.
At least 4 rounds to be completed in a day. More importance to be given for singing and perfance round to be taken to find out the versatility of the contestants.
Gazals Keerthans and semi and classical songs to be included in various rounds.
The practice of asking the contestants how many marks you want to be stopped as this questions the genuinty of the competion.
No personal questions to be asked to the contestants.
One season to be completed in 10/12 stages in a duration of six months.
This is only my personal openion.

Asianet/Renjini/judges.
I will be really happy if you can bring back Mrs.Chithra which will enhance the reputation of idea starsinger show. A very simple and humble down to earth personality. I know it is very difficult for her to recoup from the tragedy occured but,it is human to slowly forget these things as you go forward in life.
I would appreciate if you could announce the marks by one of the judges after their consultations with each other.This is because the vast differance of marks they give to the contestants.eg. One judge gives 20/21 where as the other judge gives 27/28.There cannot be so much differance between the judges.There can be a differance of 1/2 marks between them. This way I feel that this is only to reach the final mark which they must have decided earlier.Another eg. in munch star junior the way Mrs.Sujatha and Mr.Venugopal gives marks where the differance will be hardly 1/2 marks.This is reasonable.
I take this opportunity to stress one point that SMS should not be considered for elimination .This leave good singers behind the contest.Also SMS goes to selection on humanitarian grouds.
This is only my personal views and not to hurt anybodys feelings.

Though the programme is entertaining but at times the presentation of the anchor is horrible. Renjini should learn how to speak and present. Whenever a celebrity guest is leaving the show after 3 episodes, Renjini says “unfortunately nammaludu celebrity guest vidaparayan samayamayi”. Why should she say unfortunately. She should know “unfortunately” is such an inappropriate usage. In a stage show things are planned and after 3 episodes celebrity judges keep changing. So what is so unfortunate about it? She being a host of such a big programme watched worldwide should know how to use words. The anchor should also have some dressing sense as age progress. It looks so ugly to see her dress like teenagers. The anchor should not also comment on the performance of each contestant. Leave it to the judges. Please change the presenting style in season 6 or else we are too bored,sick and tired of seeing Renjini’s same presenting style again and again.
Asianet/idea star singer please wake up, think of options there is no dearth of anchors in Kerala/India.

The programme is entertaining..but unfortunately Renjinis perfomence does nt reach to the standard …it is high time to change the anchor for ur season 6..also avoid giving tooo much importance to other languages songs..give priority to malayalam songs…tamil is too much influenced in your programme.. such as raja geetham , tamil puyal etc…u can include malayalam music directors songs… best of luck for season 6…..

I saw the performances of the gazal round .. it was really great and specially, kalpana’ s “HUNGAMA HE KYU” the song was really heart touching. .. I would like to give all the contestants a huge round of applause. .. wishing all the contestents all the best, keep going .. and a small suggetion. plz try to include different kinds of songs. ..we know that the songs u choose are absolutely good songs but we would also like to listen some rare songs, like hndi old, .. but your every arrangement is really commendable. keep going. we are there for your support..

Very happy that Idea star singer has gone far ahead from the point of initiation. But as a spectator, I would definitely suggest a change from the way you have proceeded. Viewers would always support amendment.. Like if you change the way of judgement or by introducing groups or pairs would be interesting..If the same treatment is going to happen in season 6, without doubt a boring opinion will start to arise from viewers part.. So pls try to inculcate some changes as happening in hindi reality shows and try to bring a sincere feeling of music among the viewers……..

Hope the youngter who was eliminaed in season four (2007 I believe) mainly because of his age at the time will return to season six. I am missing his name here, sorry young man . I hope sesason 6 will by more malayalam song oriented and judgement should be fair anyway I have not started to watch season 6 yet. Still have not got over the fact that Mridula did not win Season 5.
